Class 4 Third Week Blog by Mia and Jemma

We have had a fun week at school this week. We enjoyed English learning about punctuation as we got to learn the different punctuation using actions to help us remember. Now we're experts. It was fabulous! We did some tricky Maths learning different method for multication and division. We are looking forward to more English and Art next week!  In Science we learnt about the diets of animals. In History we used maps to locate Egypt and label where it is.

Second Blog by Neve and Dylan Class 4

Hello and welcome to our Class 4 blog.

On Wednesday we did PE with Miss Lean. Our topic is gymnastics  but we did balancing that day.Later on in this term we are going to do balancing on the apparatus. Firstly, we had to get into a group of three but two people had  to be in a group of two

On Thursday we did our first ever lesson playing Lacrosse. It was great fun!  On our first lesson we just learned the basics of Lacrosse. Here is what we learned: Firstly, We had to step. secondly. We had to squat. After that. we had to scoop.

My favourite lesson was when we did the papyrus picture. We drew it on to the actual papyrus paper!!

Reminders:

-Literacy homework due in Monday

-Jogging bottoms in for Thursday for Lacrosse

-Unfortunately there will be no Girls football next Thursday with Mr Jeffries as he is on a course.

First Week Blog by George and Jonathan

Our first week back was really good. We did a maths game where you had to role a dice 6 times and put each number in the boxes and see who got the biggest number. In literacy we did a shoe box where you had to put 5 important things in your life and explain why you put them there.

Our favourite lesson this week was art where we had to draw a picture of egyptian god/goddess or a famous person. We had to research and then draw the egyptian god or godess that you chose.

Next week I am looking forward to doing P.E with Miss Lean and we are looking forward to computing. We're also looking forward to drawing the gods on the papyrus.

Reminders:

- Homework due in next Friday 12th September

- Bring in one piece of junk modelling for Science e.g. kitchen roll, empty yoghurt pot etc. - Thursday 11th September

Class 4 News Reporters

Over the next two weeks, Class 4 will be writing their own news reports.

The children will need to find a newspaper article and then change it into a script for them to read. They will then need to work with other people to create a news programme to share with the public, just like the BBC do.

Check back with us soon to see our results...
