A HUGE well done to all the children who performed in our end of year production, 'Alice in Wonderland'. It was FANTASTIC!

We hope all the parents and families who came to watch enjoyed the show and we would like to say a big thank you for your contributions to the drama collection - £195 was raised.

There are some photographs in the gallery of the dress rehearsal when the children perfomed to the rest of the school and visitors from the Church and local nursing homes.

Barton Hall Blog Day 2

Our first full day at Barton Hall has been hot, sunny and very busy!

Everyone slept well last night (eventually) and woke this morning bright and early for a cooked breakfast.

The day began with an energetic game of Aeroball which certainly brought out the competitive streak in some children!  Also this morning was abseiling - nearly everyone managed to come down the tower.  It was very tall so a fantastic achievement.

After lunch and a shopping trip, the afternoon activities were zip wire and mountain biking.  The zip wire proved to be a hot favourite amongst the children as they flew through the air at top speed.

Our evening activity today was swimming in the outdoor pool, perfect after a hot day.  Everyone is now in bed and MUCH quieter than last night!  We think they will sleep well!

Tomorrow our day begins with more water fun - canoeing and raft building at the lake.  Come back tomorrow to hear the latest from school journey.

Good night!

Barton Hall Blog Day 1

Year 5 and 6 had a good journey down to Devon arriving just after 4pm to a beautiful sunny afternoon.  We had a tour of the site and a fire drill before our evening meal; everyone ate heartily, hungry after the long coach trip.  This evening the children have enjoyed a game of 'snap shot' which involved lots of running around!  They are now all tucked up in bed in their chalets.

Tomorrow we have abseiling, aeroball, zip wire, mountain biking and swimming.  Check back tomorrow evening to see how we got on.

It was a very thought provoking session and the children had lots to talk about back in class.
