Sports Rundown

Blog – Sports Rundown Happy Friday everyone! Christmas time is upon us. With the term coming to an end I thought I would round up the sporting achievement. Starting with Class 5 swimming . Last one this coming Monday . I have seen such an improvement in our all swimmers this term and hope all have enjoyed it . A special mention to Miss Walker and the netball team as they played in their first friendly netball match of the season against St. Andrews. Well done to our captain Neve who lead the team, which resulted in some fabulous teamwork overall. We are looking to organise a few more matches for Netball club in the New Year. Well done to our football boys that managed to take part in the football tournament and bring back a third place trophy. I am very proud of our boy’s attitude and sportsmanship as both our sports teams continue to represent our school impeccably. Also, I am very proud of our trampoline team who took part in the Eastern Region competition in Brentwood. It was our first chance to compete in the new team leotard! There was tough competition for all of our gymnasts as the groups increasing in sizes since last year. Well done to both Patrick and Ralph who competed as individuals. Our team of Mia , Elin , Katie and Holly showed some real form and came close to qualifying . Congratulations to Chloe who managed to qualify for the next round of the competition. As some of you may know we have had Stanley Stevenson Bear come and visit us at St.Ippolyts for a week full of fun. Given to us by Stevenage Sporting Futures to live in our school for a week and has had a fantastic time. Expect to see pictures after Christmas . I would like to thank parents for being so supportive and working with us to sort transport to and from events. I wish you all a Merry Christmas and look forward to seeing you all in the New Year, for more exciting sporting events. Mr J

Sports Blog

Good Afternoon . Over the last six weeks we have had some fantastic sporting achievements with our football team still yet to be beaten this season . We still have many games to come in the lead up to Christmas with both A+B teams playing almost every week . I would to thank all parents for being so efficient with returning kit and hope it can continue for the rest of the season . Also in the previous half term we were fortunate enough to have Sporting Futures provide us with the Mini Olympics event in which our year one children took part in, it gave us all the opportunity to try some new sporting activities. I hope everyone has had a well rested half term break in preparation for a busy few weeks ahead. Mr.Jefferies

Saturday 19th September

The early season rally was upon as again ! A bright breezy morning at Wilshere Dacre school was host to the friendly rally as it has been for many years. We went into the rally with high hopes after our midweek victory . The boys played extremely well once again as we managed to pick up two wins from four matches. Despite our best efforts we were beaten by the two hot favourites of this years league being William Ransom and Ickleford . However in all four of our matches we showed real heart and character and as most of you who attended this event will agree , we can be proud of the boys performance . Next match this Thursday as we travel to St.Andrews for our next league fixture. Mr Jefferies
