Spring week 3

Hello

This week we have been learning lots of new things.

In maths we have focused on finding fractions of numbers, we can now do this confidently.

In English we have been learning how to write in the past and present tense, we have been trying to stick to the same tense in one piece of writing.

During RE this week we reflecting on how the Easter story makes us feel, Mrs Hoar was very impressed with our deep thinking.

This week some of our children went to play cricket in a competition and WON! We are very proud of them!

Have a relaxing weekend

Week 4 and 5

Hello Everyone

It has been a busy and fun two weeks in class 3.

We finished our work on Rapunzel in English and have all written some fantastic recounts. We focused on conjunctions, noun phrases and past tense.

In maths we have been ordering and comparing numbers, we also found all the different ways you can make 20.

Today was hedgehog day and we had a really interesting time. We got to meet a hedgehog and ask Nicola some questions about them. We then drew a picture of a hedgehog and learnt some facts about them.

Reminders:

  • It is getting cold out so please make sure children have jumpers and coats for break time and tracksuits for P.E

Week 3 Class 3

Hello

This week we had great fun when the author Luke Temple visited. We got to hear all about his books and even got to ask him some questions. The children listened so well to his entertaining presentation and some even got to join in with acting out parts of the books!

Class 3 really enjoyed our science lesson building ships, there were some interesting designs! In PE we have continued to learn our dance and practice our football skills, we are making improvements in both areas!

Have a restful weekend

Mrs Hoar

Reminders:
Children were sent home with Harvest words and actions to learn for our Harvest Featival next week. Please encourage your child to learn the highlighted words and all the actions as they won't have the paper with them on the day. Thank you.
