Class Two visit the Iron Age

Last week St Ippolyts tribe (also known as Class Two) visited The Celtic Harmony Camp and stepped back into the Iron Age.  This week in Literacy we have been recounting our visit, here are some of our experiences-

'Finally we arrived at the Celtic Harmony Camp.  We got our faces painted blue.  It was funny looking at everyone with their blue faces.' Elin

'We walked to the roundhouse.  We stood outside the roundhouse and we got our faces painted with blue paint.  I was a flower.' Kate

'After we sat in the roundhouse.  It was fun and amazing.  Then we walked into the woods.' Mercedes

'Then we went to make some bread.  We were grinding wheat.  Next we were making dough balls.' Euan

'We made some bread.  It was really sticky and we had to rub our hands on a tree.'  Sophie

'Next we made dens.  Ours was the biggest and it had mushrooms in it!'  Kiera

'Then we had lunch and it was delicious.'  Joseph H-W

'My lunch was yummy.  Then we did the trading game.  Then we went to the shop.  I bought fossil shark teeth.' Oliver

'Then we walked to where the trees were and then we had to choose a partner.  We had to get a mushroom.'  Joseph S

'We hunted a wild boar.  We threw sticks at the boar.'  Oscar  (not a real boar!)

'Then we tried to shoot the wild boar.  If you got the stick on the other side you had to shout 'yeah'.  If you did not you shout 'run, run'.'  Lily

'Then it was time to go home.  We got on the coach and headed for home.'  Amber

A great day was had by all - well done Class Two!
