Summer 1 Week 2

Another busy week in Classs 3!

In Science this week we learned about the fossilisation process and looked at pictures of different fossils.

In Geography we did some more research on Kenya. I was so impressed to see how much the children found out and remembered from last week. We looked at the climate, the different landscapes, crops that are grown and sold in Kenya and where Kenya is in relation to other countries in Africa.

In PE we practised sprinting and long distance running. We have some very fast runners in Class 3!!!

In Maths we looked at fractions of shapes and numbers and tried to apply our knowledge of simple fractions to some real life word problems.

In Literacy we planned and started to write our own story called 'The magic pebble'. Our grammar focus was to use lots of interesting noun phrases. We are looking forward to finishing off our story next week!

We hope you all have a lovely long weekend!
