Friday 11th September

I love it in Class 2 because I do lots of fun work (John).  I love it because I like doing Maths. We have been doing lots of counting this week. (Sophie).  I really like doing the Early Morning work because it’s fun.  I love being in Class 2 because my teachers are the best teachers! (Umarah).  We have been doing writing and we wrote postcards about our holiday (Megan). I liked estimating how much pasta there was in our Maths lesson.  We had to count in 10s (Ella).

I liked thinking about adjectives and writing about our shoes.  This week we were colouring some shoe pictures (Oliver). Mrs Wilson had us all on the carpet and she made us take one of our shoes off and smell them! (Zoe).  I like it in Class 2 because we do lots of writing and I enjoy writing because it makes me have really good ideas (Kushi).

In PE this week, we have been throwing and catching (Kye).  I like it in Class 2 because I like looking at all the pictures on the walls (Ameena).  I love being in Class 2 because we are doing good learning (Ruby).

Welcome to our new Class 1 children!

We have had a fantastic first few days here in Class One and Miss Ingle and the class adults have all been left feeling very impressed with how well all of the children have settled into their new routine and environment!  Thank you also to all parents who have made morning time easy and have been encouraging children to enter the classroom independently, the children seem very happy to be in school!

For our first few days, we have been doing lots of fun activities, to get the children settled and encourage them to explore their new classroom.  Some of the activities your child has been doing include, paint portraits and hand prints, dinosaur small world role play, junk modelling, scooter racing, dressing up, construction actitivies such as the marble run and lego and lots of fun counting activities and songs; it has been great fun!

Your child's book bags are still a little empty this weekend, however next week your children will begin to bring home an independent reading book to share with you, as well as their first school reading record.  A letter will come out with these, to explain them in more detail.

Thank you also for ensuring all new uniforms are clearly labelled; it has been a great help this week already!  Class One will begin their PE lessons next week and these will take place on a Thursday and Friday so please ensure all children have their PE kits in school for these days.

Enjoy your weekend and see you all on Monday ready for our next intake of children!

September 2015 New Class

Hello everyone,

It has been a great two days in class 4 and it will get even better. On Thurday, we have done maths, english and PE.

In maths, we had to roll a dice, and you put that number in either the ones, tens, hundreds, thousands or higher. We had to compare numbers with our partner to see whose was the biggest.

In english, we created our own superheros focusing on using adjectives to describe them.

We can't wait for another week

PE Kits should be winter kit now. This includes; tracksuit bottoms, jumpers, t shirts.

clubs letter due for Tuesday

Music letter due for Thursday

Children should be wearing winter uniform.

Bring reading book and contact book everyday.

Diary Dates for 2015 - 2016

The website calendar has now been updated with all the dates currently set for the coming academic year 2015-2016.

Along with term and holiday dates, the calendar also includes all key events such as Parent Consultation Evenings, Open Sessions, Family Week, class assemblies, Church services and so on. We do hope that having the full year of dates well in advance will help all parents to be able to participate as fully as possible, especially those who have work schedules to arrange.

Additional dates for trips etc will be added as the year progresses; these will also be published in the newsletters as usual.
